Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Romford

I am not usually one to make complaints as I understand some things happen beyond people’s control. However the way I have been handled by Enterprise today I can gladly say have not gone through such an experience in my life. I had a reservation for a large van today 24/11 @11am. I got a call at 9am saying that a large van is not available but the Romford Branch are doing all they can to get hold of one for me. I was told I will get a call within an hour. 2 hours later at 11am I had to call up to get an update. Again same issue however I was offered a smaller van which I reluctantly accepted due to the urgency of my needs . Romford Branch asked me to go down at 2:30pm which I did, upon arrival and checking in as usually we went to the van for handover and the lady said there was an issue. 30 mins later I was told they cannot offer me the van because it has a “Hold” on it and they cannot do anything and I have to go home. I had organized a move today, hired handymen to break everything down in my home and move it in the evening, without going into too much details I have been messed around all day by Enterprise which prevented me hiring another van, I lost out on near £300 hiring out the handymen and now need to find another van tomorrow which I do not need explain how expensive Vans are on a weekend if at all available. This is simply not good enough as a loyal customer I will now take my custom elsewhere.

Enterprise was for many years my favourite Car / Van Rental company. However, although I was mostly satisfied with the vehicle and service, I was Very Disappointed that they were unable to pick me up from home Or take me home at the end of my recent van rental ! They Still advertise that they are "The company that Picks you up" but they failed to do this for me, so I incurred Cab fares of about £35 to get there and back !

Irresponsible enterprise company where they had instructed me the location for dropping off the rental car, only to have incurred parking penalty on the rental. They have relied on the signed agreement to charge my card for their instructions. They said they will deal with it, but only to charge my card a year later from the offence. Absolute crooks! New Note: Chris from Enterprise contacted me two months ago with an email address for investigation into my complaint. So far I have not heard a thing back from them. Another disappointing act from them, pretending to be professional!

SCAM. Horrible service. I had a courtesy car after a non fault accident.When they came to pick the car they said that I don't have to pay anything. The fuel was more than the time I picked the car. After 13 days they charged me over 400 pounds. If you have to rent a car try to avoid the Romford branch. Even while having the car they put a lot of stress on me and asked me to do all the calls for them.
